I’m a London-based food and travel writer with more than 10 years of journalism experience.
After writing and editing for Bloomberg News in Buenos Aires, London and São Paulo from 2008 to 2012, I decided to make the leap into consumer journalism. I am now Deputy Editor of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Bars, where I oversee digital, video and live content.
I am a confident public speaker and have presented and moderated #50BestTalks events in Bangkok, Bogotá, Macau, Mexico City, and the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastian. My other public speaking work includes presenting two Masterclasses at Melbourne Food & Wine Festival (2017); speaking on a panel at Identità Golose in Milan with Massimo Bottura, Josep Roca and Will Guidara (2018); moderating a cocktail bars panel in Athens (2018); presenting on how to use video for your brand at the PPA’s Independent Publisher Conference in London (2016); speaking about using social media for good at Facebook’s Women’s Leadership Day in Dublin (2016); and moderating a panel about Books and Boobs for the Young Adult Literature Convention at Comic Con in London (2018).
In 2018 I graduated from the Faber Academy’s Writing a Novel course in Richard Skinner’s class and I am working on my first novel, Single Bald Female.
I speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese and am a qualified translator specialising in Brazilian Portuguese and business translation.
